I never flour my car, but when i'm getting on the freeway I sometimes floor if there's not a lot of traffics.

Well you know that show Jack @$$ when they "antique" people by throwing flour over them....maybe that's what he meant?

the only time you would flour your car is if you were getting ready to bake it in an oven.....:P

I crack open the throttle once every few weeks or so.

Last time I floored it, I chewed up a Saturn Ion Redline coupe.....lol he lost the first time and next run he thought he would suprise me with the "bottle" second time I still won abiet by a much smaller margin.....lol

If mine was an auto, maybe I would floor it every once in a while, but since it is a manual trans, I never floor it. Come to think of it, I don't even think I ever have floored it.

I do about once or twice a month since I do a fair amount of driving at around 45mph or less. I use the excuse that it helps prevent severe carbon build up..... *L*

Does it really prevent carbon build up or is it a myth?

I know that driving around at a slow rpm/slow speed all the time will cause excessive carbon to build up. I've seen this happen on cars that older couples drive. As for newer cars being driven like an average person I'm not to certain if it really matters but it's an excuse that most people can't disprove *L*
