Default My Accord on the Dyno yesterday.

95 Accord F22b2, automatic, 379,000 miles. I have free dyno access and my CTS-V is apart so today we ran my beater Accord. The only non stock part is a high compression head "milled" by me. The cam timing was thrown off by the milled head so I run it 1 tooth advanced with the distributor fully advanced. I'm guessing the compression is around 10.5:1, maybe less. I've had the Honda since high school and half the miles are mine. This car has survived so much abuse it can't be put into words but I have always maintained it. The engine and trans are original, so are most of the other major parts. As you will see it burns a ton of oil at this point in its life, around 1 quart every 200 miles.

The horsepower came in lower than I expected but the torque curve exceeded my expectations. 98hp/111tq I wish I had a pre-head swap dyno to compare it to because it is definitely quicker now than it was before.

Not bad, the torque numbers arent bad. Is the 1/4 mile time in your signature before or after the head swap?

A H22 or H23 transmission would take about a second off your time.

Nice.

To me, just another reason to love the 5th gen Accords....the dang things are just solid cars, if you do the maint items.

The 1/4 time is very old, from around 250,000 miles. I will probably run it again for fun but I don't see myself taking the automatic out. This car only has 1 job and that is to be reliable.

And a 5th gen will do that job well , just my opinion.
