New Guy Here, But Wanted to Share my MPG Numbers...Other MPG Numbers Welcome :)
I introduced myself last week I believe, but wanted to share this info with you all on the MPG I am getting. Check it out:
2005 Accord EX-L V6 Sedan 5AT
432.1 mi/12.436 gal = 34.759 mpg
193.0 mi/5.542 gal = 34.825 mpg
I drive 120 miles round trip each day M-F for work this entire summer (my engineering co-op job this summer) with approx 95% is interstate between Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, AL. 54 miles each way is I-20/59 with ~3 miles on each end being city driving at 45-50 mph. I drive right at 61 mph on the interstate and do the PSL (posted speed limit) in town. I also drive to work in the morning with no AC and use CC, but in the evenings use AC and CC. I also shut the motor off for stops longer than ~10-15 seconds because stop lights I go through in Birmingham last 2-3 minutes each. I also DWL (drive with load) on some grades instead of using CC the entire time, but I would say I use CC 90% of the time as the grades on my route are not bad at all.
I am also getting a Ultragauge in tomorrow that I ordered and will use it to get even better MPG. I'm now extreme hypermiler by any means, just drive slower than the PSL, easy acceleration, and always keep the tires inflated 4 psi above max rated (which btw, my tires are wearing very, very well now showing hardly any wear even after 20k miles).
Anyways, I just wanted to show you guys what these cars are capable of even with a V6 and 5AT in the sedan.
BTW: Here's what my fuel gauge and trip odometer looked like on the above tanks, and I plan to get 500 miles per tank very soon.

Well I got gas with 256 miles on the trip and it took 10.1 gallons to fill the tank. That gives me ~25mpg which isn't too bad. I drive mostly highway miles, but there were a few days with a lot of local and stop-and-go driving. I'm hoping my mpg increases on the next fill-up.

I'm using a fuel log app on my cell phone n I'm gettin 22-25 mpg. However, I am driving 'normal' not attempting to better my mileage. I am going to try higher octane, additives, etc to see if any beneficial increases.

though, I have been noticing that I do accelerate quiet a bit and I take my time to change the gear to a higher gear
from 2nd to 3rd gear my revs are about 2600rpm, do you guys think it is a bit too much???

I just bought my first Accord: a 2001 w/only 77K! (It's a 4D, EX, Auto.)
On my first tank of gas, I averaged 23.41 mpg. This is not very impressive, although I should mention that I typically go 75-80mph on the highway and always have the AC cranked. I'd love to see better fuel economy, if anybody's got suggestions...
