The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
It's hard to type with my vape on my lap so bare with me. If that cat has to ask he can't do it. I did exactly that on my suburban, LED tails were $500 so I set out to do it. It was relatively simple for me since I've been doing stuff like that since I was 13. It's much more complicated than it seems, and you have to have bit of know how. Regular LEDs aren't going to cut it either, you need THCs or FLUX LEDs which are expensive. I'm not going to dive into that topic, as if you have to ask there is way to much to explain.
EDIT: What makes it hard is to efficiently use space on a bread board. Anyone can wire leds up, but to have many densely packed is hard. And takes a bit of experience which can't really be taught online. The circuit is very very simple nothing but resistors and LEDs. Unless you want to make them all dim for headlights, and all bright for brake. But I just did a thin line down for the light that comes on with the headlights and the rest for the brake. Looked pretty damn cool and there was nothing else like it. Until I got T boned by a damn full dump truck.
