This does make me want to do a road trip though................My friends are goign to Canada soon for the beer olympics. May have to hit it up, I dont have a passport but I hear you dont need one yet.

 

Ive heard different... but if you can go that would be awesome. Sheit, gas is so cheap I'd do another roadtrip this summer.

 

Yeah I thought you needed one, but all the sources I found online said you just need a government ID to get back into the US. My friends say you dont need one, but they are all idiots. Then there is the problem that my license is split in half.............

 

Just get the license renewed... its like $9 for a brand new license here. Makes sense though. Nobody cares about you leaving the country, but getting back in is tricky.

 

Yeah I will have to go to the DMV and see about that. All my friends swear you dont need a passport, but I really dont want to get stuck in Canada, esp seeing I probably wouldnt tell my parents about the trip.

 

Just went on the homeland security website, and it said that starting january 31 2008 if you are 19 or older you need a government id and a passport or birth certificate. and 18 and younger just need a passport or birth certificate.
