I fixed it, it was just on a pin that ran through the trigger mechanism horizontally, so I was able to just push it back through so the lever was on it.

It was made in about 1947, so I dont think parts are readily available for it.

I have an Ithaca M-49 from the late 50s. They still have parts for it... gun parts can almost always be found.

it appears to be a winchester model 72-22, googled it but couldnt find much on it. It appears as though it has never been cleaned.

Google "winchester model 72"... you may find something. I usually add "exploded view" or "diagram" to it...

It was hard to track down anything for the Ithaca, but I finally found a diagram I had to waste $1.50 to download... it just had all the parts laid out and the part numbers, no actual assembly info.

Nah this is a bolt action not lever action. Nothing is broken though, just dirty.

Yeah I know... but, a lot of the diagrams I have seen have lines directing you where each part goes... the older guns can be confusing because they dont look like newer ones.

this ones not bad, there was just one tiny part that you needed tiny pliers and real steady hands to get back in. I'll get a pic of it up when its all back together.
