Lol it's cool and legal because it's the blood of Christ and this is a christian and racist country. Did you know marijuana was first made illegal and taxed because of racism. The frist places to enact prohibition on marijuana were states in the south and near mexico. How about everything said during the time? Henry Anslinger the founder of the then DEA said' Marijuana makes the black man feel better than the white man". So yes lets fight tooth an nail for these racist of the 30's beliefs! The people who bright marijuana into this country were mexicans, then the oppressed blacks in Louisiana picked it up. So they outlawed it to try and get the mexicans and the blacks out of their town. So moral our government is? Don't believe me do a bit of research on marijuana prohibition, and see what really caused the first outlaws. Then people reacted the only way they could when they outlawed it, fear what you don't know. And the reefer madness era began. I get stoned and chill with my mom everyday, not once have I had the urge to beat her with a frying pan....
EDIT: Not to mention I have been smoking pot since I was 12. I smoked a gram every day from 14 to about 18, and now I smoke about 1.3 to 1.5 grams a day. And wow how much my intelligence and memory has suffered, I'm sure it's so apparent on this forum. I took an IQ test in 5th grade to get into gifted, before I ever smoked any pot. I took another after I was diagnosed with ADD (17 when I dropped out of school)and what do you know, my IQ actually went up two points. Not that IQ tests are extremely consistent especially with such age differences, but I didn't get any stupider.

Yes it really would! At least they wouldn't be hypocrites. If marijuana is illegal because it is bad for your health and/or society, the same should go for alcohol. But prohibition proved that prohibition doesn't work. But alcohol was the drug of choice for Christians and white people, which make up the large majority of this country, so it was a giant unsolvable problem. The minority of people prefer pot over alcohol, so prohibition on marijuana has been maintainable.I totally understand and am all for bettering society, but being a hypocrite is 10 steps backwards.
Here is what it really comes down too. I and several million of responsible adults smoke pot like if it is legal, I have no problems getting pot, actually it's easier you, can't get liquor delivered. The only difference is if I don't grow my own pot, I put $300 to $500( even more in most other places) a month into a real criminals hand. That is the real problem with marijuana prohibition.

Yeah see prohibition of any substance doesn't work, there are always ways of getting it. Just move to MA or something, its just a ticket for having a ounce or less or something like that there. Granted they are communists other than that.

I would qualify for medical marijuana, I have a mild case of insomnia. And certain strains with certain cannabinoids are the perfect medication for insomnia. Minus the bad side effects and I used to get from the other sleep meds I took. I would move to california and get a license to grow but I can't leave my parents. They are getting old and I feel like I have to take care of them because I'm the youngest. And Florida has about the worst marijuana laws. In 20 years marijuana will be decriminalized and most states will recognize the medicinal benefits of marijuana.

Just give that time, research has only been able to progress so much. A lot of it requires actually smoking which is a bit hard in this country. And when new research is presented it is never listened to. My dad is a doctor, does not smoke pot, does not drink, he doesn't even really condone my pot smoking but agrees with me now about the medicinal benefits of marijuana after showing him what I have read and seen.
