The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
Ah cool cool. I have to look into it more. I would love to go to the junkyard and find a TSX or something then just take them lol. So i was thinking instead of fiber glass.............use CF............idk kinda ricer though
You can't really hand lay CF, it needs to be vacuum bagged or it won't come out right. Not sure what your talking about, just thought I'd point that out. Not only is CF cloth expensive as ****, it's nothing like working with glass or cloth.
I only know this because of my R/C boating forums, there is always someone asking if they can make their own CF hull. I know how to work with regular poly resin and glass, just not an expert.
Well making a CF hull and a CF patch would probably be a little different.
Cam, you want it to be flexible for when you adjust the lights, depending on the method you use. There is a good DIY site for it on a 6th gen... I'll try to find it later. Getting raped at work.

Not necessarily, the CF needs to be vacuum bagged so all the air is sucked out of the CF and resin. If not it will be extremely brittle and will crack and break with time. Unless its really TINY, and can be weak as hell then you really should vacuum bag it.
