The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
Brandon please tell me you have a trick for reassembling the top half of a servo. I can't get both sets of gear to mesh, and to make it even harder it's packed with dielectric grease. I think I'm just going to take it to the LHS with $10 and just say do it guy.
I haz teh metal gear high torque servos on teh truck more moAr steering and moAr braking
Well maybe I'll give it a try now that I'm stoned. I was getting so pissed off I was just making it worse on my self. I'm going to just get all the grease out, screw water proofing it I'd rather just spend another $50 on servos if radio box leaks. And this is a big 1/4 scale servo I thought it would be easier, I'm not going to touch the throttle servo.
How the hell do the brakes work off the the throttle servo on a 2ch radio? When I press the "brakes" it closes the butterfly plate killing the engine.

When you can't do something at first, don't quit get stoned lol. I was able to figure out a different way of going at it and it a lot easier on myself. I'm going to try and do it filled with grease now, hopefully it will work out for me lol.
On the throttle servo, there is a linkage connected to the throttle and one connected to the brake. At 0%, the engine idles and there is no brake. At 1-100%, the engine revs with no brake. From -1--60%, the throttle closes to idle, but doesn't fully close because of the idle screw, and then the arm on the servo has a spring in it that allows the servo to keep turning even though the throttle can't go anywhere.
Well I should have seen this coming, with the servo packed with grease there is too much resistance for it to turn well. Now I think I'm just going to go the hobby shop and pick up another servo, and just call this one a back up lol. Last time I take some random dudes advice online.
Lol... yeah, I ground off a tab in one of my crappy OE ones and I can now spin it 360* in either direction... I was going to use my 3rd channel and use it for something, but I don't remember what... something badass though.
