The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
That's cool, I think I'm going to trade school too. I just go insane when I'm not fiddling with something...
As far as finding a plumber, start looking for a mechanical contractor in your area. They're probably going to be more willing to train and hire you as a journeyman than a small plumbing shop is going to (plus more $$$). Also, joining a plumbing union would be a big help. A lot of contractors these days are union only and unions can provide the networking you need to get a job.
I would help you out more, but we're so far away... if you ever wanted to talk to a plumbing foreman I could get you a name and number.
Try PM'ing Aaron and see what he has to say. He's in the mechanical contracting field too and could probably give you some pointers for working on the east coast.

yeah i mean I pay 12k a year here for room and board, and don't even live here 4 months out of the year. And 1bdrm apartments are like 500-750ish. Plus I would have a full kitchen and a car and everything that i can't have here.
