Lol if you had any understanding how the OS differ, especially with dual and quad cores you would STFU. I'm running XP, well its totally custom version of XP. Apples are actually priced better than PCs, if you were to compare a PC of equivalent hardware and build quality, except for the imac of course. If you think the mac pro is a bad deal your a sad excuse for a nerd...

you like apple? i would say on ascale of comp skills on a 10 point scale im a 3. i look at processesor ram and use to look at hard drive but ill have a very hard time filling 500 gb. i like what ever feels right and apple doesnt float my twinkie.

 

OS X doesn't fit what I do, but is it superior to any OS Microsoft has done? By Far. Microsoft's priority is compatibility across an infinite set of hardware. Apple can optimized to their set of hardware. Simply put, look at video game consoles. The reason they can get such performance out of them with relatively slow hardware is software optimization. The 360 has a 3.0 or 3.2ghz tri core with 512mb of shared system ram. The orignal xbox was a 700mhz processor with 64mb of ram, and look how good halo 2 looked.

Not to mention apple used to at least have the best quality control around, that does seem to be on the decline now as they are keeping their prices so low.
