No I still had the shorted out amp connected, just the ground pulled. In the shorted amp it was shorting the remote on with the power from the battery. Once I disconnected the remote wire from the bad amp, my other two amps shut off. So there is no need for that, that would be if you had your amps installed wrong. I do have a switch on my sub amp, as I pull my sub box out weekly to fit my boat in the trunk. So instead of pulling the fuses I just hit a switch. That remote on wire should never be hooked up to constant hot wire, even if you plan on switch the amps off, you will forget once and kill your battery. Even with the stock HU, you just wire them to the ACC line.

Lol are you not getting what I'm saying? My amp that died, ie. shorted the **** out last week, was still hooked up but with the ground disconnected. Inside the bad amp the remote on wire was bridging with the constant hot, so even with my HU and car off that cicut was getting power, and backfeeding my other two amps remote on with 12v. Only beucase the amp had shorted out like that, that is not normal. I have my amps hooked up tot remote wire too... Just that wire was being fed current from the bad amp even with the car off.

Aiiight .... I guess I haven't been around much .... here's the scoop. Javits started to get shady around last December. I knew the project was coming to a end, so I prepared to have no job in our worst economy ever ..... by having parts around to get some stuff done!!!! LOL, but I only wound up getting the lights done. After a week and a half of being a bum (got laid off on 3/3), I got a new job 15 minutes from my house .... but started on March 30th. This is a heck of a lot nicer than the hour and a half that it took me to get into the city for the past 6.5 years!!! The new job is pretty cool and I work with good people .... only bad thing is that the computers have friggen everything locked out!!! Sometimes it even blocks me from finding stuff out for work!!! Needless to say, anything having to do with cars, shopping, email, sports, news, etc. is blocked!!!

Not much has happened to the tC as far as what is complete. As mentioned, I go the angel eye CCFL lighting in the headlights. The ballasts are so small that I baked them into the housings between the high and low beam black inner trim thingy. They came out sweet! Also, I installed the mic and got it working well for the bluetooth on my headunit. The clip it came with is hideous, so it was a little harder than I expected. I fabricated the lower DIN gauge holder, but I still have to get some blank plastic for the final trim. Oh .... and I bought the KW Variant 2 system yesterday .... that's getting overnighted from Germany to Florida, then ground shipped to me ..... they say that I will have it by Thursday ..... and my buddy has Saturday set aside for the install!!

Oh ..... almost forgot this part .... I think I'm going to sell my turbo system. I found a really sweet brand new system that uses a special trim Garrett turbo that I planned for the stage 2 build, but it's so sweet!! Also, it has the recirc built in so I don't have to have that custom welded. Plus, I still need charge piping and I found a system that uses the OEM filterbox and has a BOV recirc fitting and a black anodized FMIC that's bigger and nicer than the one that I have .... plus, it's from Chris Rado's company!!! Well tested stuff. Thing is, with the GT3071R or the GT3076R (still undecided ... 425 or 500 HP max) I'm going to have to limit the boost to 6-7 psi!!! Oh well, maybe with the suspension and LSD it'll hold better than I expect. The tranny rebuild and LSD upgrade is still on the horizon, but it's a frightening chunk of change ..... I expect like $3000 when it's all said and done.

LOL .... and that's why we do half of the retarded things that we do, right? I haven't been much better ..... a few days after I got it fixed a little at the chiropracter, I did this hike with some friends that was insane! It was so vertical that at times I actually had to stop to catch my breath to have enough energy to get up some places ..... like shear rock wall where if you slow down, you slide down!! F'n nuts, but I'll definately go back there! Also, I forgot my camera on the past few hikes. Been getting out a lot though! I went to a lake near my house for lunch toady!!! I love having no commute!!!
