HELP!

Alright, so I have this drink cooler/warmer thing that is powered by a USB port on your computer. I dont really want to use it on the USB computer ports so I have a powered hub that I use for my mouse receiver and laptop cooling fan.

When I plug the drink cooler into the hub it wont turn on, even if I unplug everything else. However, when I plug it directly to the comp it works perfectly. The cooler doesn't have any drivers or anything. I am lost

EDIT: Reason I dont want to plug it into the comp is b/c when I had my laptop cooler and this drink cooler plugged directly to the comp. my computer would get dim b/c it couldnt handle the power draw. Hence why I want to use it w/ the hub. It also will work just fine w/ my 360 usb.
