LOL .... I got Toyota to do the 5th gear and synchros ..... actually they did the work without authorization and wanted me to pay half. I called up my guy and asked what it would cost to add the 5th synchro to the other work and he told me that it's just the cost of the parts .... 1/3 of what Toyota wanted me to pay. So I told them to take their now, not new parts out of my car since I never authorized the work. When I called to see if my car was ready the next day, they told me that they pulled some strings and I get to keep the parts ...... aka, it would cost them more to take them out and then the parts also aren't new. I don't think I'm going to try for 1st through 3rd ....... an issue that appeared immediately after getting it back from them. I'm sure that pulling the tranny and putting it back made the problem appear, but IMO, the dealership is now worthless to me.


CJDM: Make sure that you re-seal the cheap fogs with black silicone before you install them. That will at least give them a better chance to not cr@p out. Also make sure to use dielectric grease in the plug.

so yota is replacing the synchros for the cost of parts only? you confused me...

Yeah thats what one of my friends told me,and i get dielectric grease and silicone for free so yeah..thanks Aaron.

Anyone else get really thirsty in the afternoons? Every day I do and then I drink a ton of water... I'm on my 3rd 16oz. cup lol... random

Yeah I had that in Iowa too... I just loaded up on junkfood and stuff that wouldn't go bad fast aka ramen, mac and cheese, stuff like that
