Geez haf over 24 hours since a post. For internet anyone know if 15megs or 15mbs or 15what ever is good for 14 a month?

 

yeah 15mbps is plenty fast, and mbps stands for megabits per second, there are seven megabits in a megabyte. They just use bits because it's a bigger number, and you know marketing.

Ok after a quick search, that is significantly faster than dial up but still slow as bollocks. But for $14 a month I guess it isn't bad, but I would do some searching to see how these modded cable modems work. If they have to be modded for a specific network or what, I'm sure these noob questions and answers are all over, just find them. They sell for $80-$120 and will give you 16mbps, which is the fastest cable offers forever.

EDIT: I wouldn't be surprised if 3G was only a bit slower than 1.5mbps, if you have an iphone you can jailbreak it and get this app called modem, it allows your iphone to work as a wireless router off the 3g and connects to your PC over wifi. From what I've read it's pretty sweet, and you can only get it for a jailbroken iphone.
