The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
I started riding wheeled vehicles at the age of 1.5 years. By the age of 4, I was riding a bicycle down the fairly-steep street in front of our house "no hands".
For the last 30 years I have ridden only a 10-speed Panasonic road bike.
Yesterday, for the first and only time in my life, I had the opportnity to operate a Specialized Enduro full-suspension bicycle. WOW! WOW! WOW!
Bicycle technology has definitely changed for the better over the last 30 years. The only problem is that that bicycle costs close to $4K. The admission fee to heaven is very very expensive. I try to imagine what it would be like to ride a four thousand dollar bicycle up into our garage and park it next to our 92 Accord that is now probably worth 1/2 of that. Something doesn't seem to be quite right there. I wonder if the shocks on that bike are more expensive than the ones on our car? Probably.

About 3 weeks ago the Viper alarm would randomly not chirp/have a very weak chirt when locking/unlocking. But the doors would lock/unlock and arm/disarm just fine.
Took it to BB last week. Spent 20 minutes, said it was a bad ground. Locked it @ home and no chirp and never a chirp again.
Brought it back, got a brand new one installed for free
and it barely still chirps. BB said that its probably b/c my + battery terminal that goes over the battery is split in 1/2 and not making full connection. Seems odd since I have no other problems as in the car starts fine and no other electronics cut out. Im replacing the terminal Thursday, so we'll see.
Also had the battery backup for the alarm put in. Not bad for $30 for installation and a headache free night for me! Now just gotta install the piezo soon.
