Just bought a 1 owner '99 EXL V6 Coupe with 77k.Miles, in virtually new condition, however wasn't aware of the inherent tranny issues especially with the V6, tranny shop stated major servicing isn't urgent yet, but with my OCD I had it completely rebuilt Lol...

At the rate you're putting the miles on, you are a candidate for the million mile club. My 2000 Accord as a mere 235K miles.

Got mine @ 140K miles. It now has 333K miles and is ready for another timing belt change this summer. It has never left me stranded on the road yet (crossing my fingers). At this age, it does require moderate TLC, but it is in good working order. Some of the work done within the past 2 years are:
- Replaced AC evaporator + dryer + purged and recharged AC system.
- Installed 2-Din dvd/cd/radio/GPS Head unit.
- Replaced starter.
- Replaced 2 front rotors + wheel bearing.
- Replaced radiator + hoses + heater hose.
- Rebuilt distributor to fix an oil leak.
- Replaced broken remote starter.
- Replaced front calipers and rebuilt front brakes + changed the brake fluid.

I did most of the work. If you can't do the work, it is probably better not to drive a car this old.

99 Accord LX 5 speed. 232,000 miles. Paid 350 for it, as it had "needs an engine" on the windshield. Turned out it needed the timing reset, and the harmonic balancer replaced (key way slot was opened up to a 1/2"). Since then, timing belts and tensioners were replaced, rusted out fuel tank replaced, power steering return line and hoses replaced. Haven't put a lot miles on it, as I have a P0420 code, and need to replace the cat converter. At least the AC blows very cold air.

2000 Accord EX. Original owner. Only failures to start have been due to bad battery, never due to mechanical failure. The transmission started slipping as it approached 180k miles but has since leveled off and still original.

317k miles. It looks like it has about 1/3 of that ... still driven daily.
