Really? They just have to be kidding? Please no more snow.

lol. I'm not as lucky, I told the wife yesterday I would go to the store with her this morning.....what was I thinking. But of course we have nothing close to what you have....it is only in the lower 30's here.
I have to go to Roanoke VA later this week. I checked their weather and highs right at 30 and the lows in the lower teens.

I guess I must be a little whacked in the head; I ran a 12 miles trail run yesterday during the snow storm (1 inch on the ground when I started, 7 inches on my car when I got back); today I just put in a nice easy 10 miles on the same trail. Snow? Bring it on!
Here's a shot taken from the trail a couple of weeks back:

That looks nice. I'd be on cross-country skis instead of running.
I'm a bicyclist hooked up with a running group (bike support guy carrying extra water & chasing down lost runners). Got a mountain bike for Christmas & now I'm riding in that stuff!

I used to ride a lot, and then the Carpal Tunnel started hitting me when I rode. Now all I do is run; I'm hoping to run more miles this year than my younger brother (he's only 56) cycles this year. He's shooting for 2,500+ miles, and I think I can hit 3,000.

I left one of my two jobs at the end of last March, and ramped up my running in mid-April, and by the end of June I'd logged 329 miles year to date (99 miles Q1 and 230 miles in Q2). By July, in spite of the hot and humid weather we had here, I managed my first 200+ mile month of my life, and by year end I'd strung together six consecutive 200+ mile months. As of 29-Dec-2013 (the last day I ran in 2013) I'd logged 1,704 miles, and to put that into perspective, that is 1,000 miles more than my previous best year which was back in 1979.
Long story short, 200+ miles per month has become relatively easy, and all I need to do is bump it to 250 per month to hit 3,000 for the year. Can I do it at the ripe old age of 57? Don't know, but I sure as hell am going to try.
FWIW, I've trained and raced up at altitude, even managed a triathlon where the swim was at 6,900' MSL and the finish was just across the 10,000' MSL line, and believe it or not, your body will (eventually) become accustomed to the thin (and polluted) air.
