Default Restoring my old Daily Driver "warning, non-Honda"

After finally having a string of luck and acquiring my 08 accord (which I love), I FINALLY get to work on restoring my old daily driver

Meet my 1991 Dodge Stealth twin turbo.

It's got 30k on a rebuilt engine.

It is currently out of commission due to a broken front U-joint on the driveshaft. Mitsubushi decided to press the joints in from the factory, making them non-serviceable. So I have to find another one or pay 1,500 for a new one fresh OUCH! The previous owner went extremely cheap on the paint so when tax time rolls around I'll get that fixed. Since this was my only car and DD at the time, I had zero time to let the engine cool so I could work on it (I work 7 days a week). So it feels great to be able to take my time now.

I have found a bit of oil in my rear intercooler line, so I just bought another set of stock 9b turbos. The good news here is that the core set I take out will make upgrading a LOT easier once I grow the itch to.

Other than that, I need some misc. interior parts, a new front drivers side tire and an alignment and she'll be raising hell again. Once I get the parts and start the work I'll show pics of course. Anyhow, I'm going to get back to work and thought I'd share a side project I'm working on. Take care.

Looks like a fun project. Not something I'd want to daily though as I know how the 90s sports cars are, especially at this age never know when something small like a rubber hose will spring a leak.

The base models are extremely reliable, just not the turbo models. You're right, it is very frustrating keeping it in order. It should be a blast on the weekends soon enough. Thanks.

So I pulled the trigger on a used stock driveshaft (hey, it's 1/10 the price of a carbon fiber DS or new driveshaft) so we'll see if it is in good enough shape as promised.
