Seriously considering parting out my car
It has been nothing but a headache and a money pit for the past 3 years.
I have a week left in summer before I return to school and can't bring the car with me. Next summer I am going into the Army so I will not have any time to work on it or drive it.
I added up approximate values of parts and it came to about $2,600. Which I would be plenty happy in getting for it. I don't think the car could ever be sold together, esp for that much money.
The only thing keeping me from doing it is darn sentimental value. It was my first car and I have put a lot of time and money into it, but it has become nothing but an aggravation. It would absolutely kill me to send the body to the junkyard since its such a good looking car. But my parents don't exactly want this car sitting in their garage for the indefinite future.
But that money could be put towards a perfectly reliable, fast, and good gas mileage getting sport bike.
What says the hive?
