Good luck!! I have to do that one pretty soon too ... I just have to get the BS LEED test out of the way first since it's clogging up my head.

A freind of mine has now taken her PE 2 or 3 times and failed it every time. She is still working for an engineering firm, but I don't see how. I guess she just doesn't get paid as much and her supervisor has to sign off on everything. She's a Civil engineer.

LEED is run by USGBC. Has to do with sustainability, environmental quality, polution control, energy efficiency, water efficiency, site selection for environmental purposes, etc.

Jon,if your friend hasn't passed the PE licensing test, she doesn't have a PE license and can't sign and seal anything because she doesn't have a seal ..... unless she is signing her bosses name and using his stamp which is highly illegal, but unfortunately is very common.

sounds like her boss signs off on it.

is she dumb? does she not prepare for it?

Its not an easy test...I may fail it, but with adequate preparation its doable.

It's also not that cheap to take! I plan to work my butt off to prepare for that one. I hate long tests aned that one is 8 hrs test time and 10 hrs sitting time!!! Just once for me!!

it was 80$ to register in AZ, and 210 for the test, and if I pass, I am sure there will be a several hundred $ registration fee too. I can pull money out of my start-up package from the U to pay for it, but that onle goes so far.

That's cheap!! I think between the test and registration, it's something like $500 in NY .... not sure about NJ, but I'll likely need both stamps.
