Default The Streets of San Francisco...suck

Has anyone driven thru. the streets of San Francisco later? For such a rich city I can't believe the conditions of their roads. There are potholes and torn-up asphalt on every block.

I have a lowered Accord and man I've never exerienced a rougher ride than driving around that town. The bad thing is that I live there. Forget about having passengers, it makes the ride that much worst.

When I drive around the surrounding towns, Daly City, South City, San Bruno, the roads are so much better.

Is Frisco trying to discourage modders from tricking out their rides?

Send a shout out if you've driven in the city recently and have a similar story...

My brother lived there for 25 years. I visited him on a number of occasions - twice bringing my bicycle. Many times I drove around in his car, so I realize thatit must be a nightmare for a low rider.

I think in that city one would want thechassisto go in the opposite direction - UP. One of those vehicles you see doing the Dakar Rally would be more appropriate for San Fran, and the driver would no doubtget even more looks. (Good for climbing curbs and stairs, too.)

Seriously, if you want to make a quick and easymillion in the automotive business, move to San Francisco andopen upa 24/7 brake & clutch specialtyshop. As long as you do a good job, you can charge an arm and a leg and you'll be inundated with customers.

(Togetthe fullest possibleappreciation of San Francisco topography, ride a bicyclethere for a couple of weeks.)

yeah, ive been there a few times, but the last time i went was in my brother's 06 TL
i think the ride was ok, cause his car is all stock, but those hills are REALLY steep
i can imagine trying to climb up those in a lowered car and just scratching it all the time!

in california, you can report street damage and stuff to the cal trans or whatever
so they can go fix that stuff
you should go give it a try, i dont have the website right now cause im at school, but i will link you to it later tonight

I very much doubt if anyone is going to compensate for damage done by streets to a custom/lowered car - especially in S F.

Worth a try though, but in that case I'd try to avoid providing photos of the damage that show the car's lowered configuration.

well, you can at least tell them to fix the roads that are messed up
and i think that they will fix your rims if they were messed up from pot holes
