That is cool.

I've been to Montreal race twice back in '05 and '06. Seeing and hearing those things in person is something else.

Need to win the lottery so I can go to the Spa race one day....going thru/up eau-rouge and kemmel straight, that would get you heart pumping . Almost a full minute of that thing at WOT.

I got lucky......it was work related

I became good friends with a guy that was based in our office in Montreal. So he would have a meeting right around the time of the race......what luck .

When he retired I was upset for many reasons.

found a link to the nbc TV schedule-

Formula One Racing - Episode Guide, TV Times, Watch Online, News - Zap2it

It only shows the first two races but it looks like we'll be getting about the same amount of coverage. Leigh Diffey is going to be the main announcer with Steve Mtchett and David Hobbs coming over from speed. Don't know who the pit man will be though.

I thought the same pit reporter (can't remmeber name right now) from Speed came over as well?

Looks like I'll catch the replay at 1pm.....in my younger days I might have been able to stay up until 2 am

As far as I am concerned, F1 reached its pinnacle with the McLaren MP-4/4. Senna and Prost behind the wheel, and the RA-168E turbo V6 from Honda screaming away through the tunnel of Monaco. What I would give to be able to go back in time and have seen Senna live, instead of having to settle with watching old footage.

Then again, as a Honda fan, seeing Button win in Hungary in 2006 was pretty special.

You think i can put one of the 1.5L turbo V6 F1 engines in my 96 ex engine bay and who is willing to help with the install?

You are a bit south of me but I would make the raod trip for a few weekends.

Only thing, you'd have to let me drive it a bit ......deal?

Please don't tell me anything about quali or the race.....going to watch later today. Can't remember when quali was ever rained out?

Off-topic from the thread, but it reminded me of one of my favorite Honda commercials of all time. I especially love the look on the guy's face when he asks if it comes in blue...
