Ughh I hated Chemistry. I did fine in it in high school, but college chemistry was a different story. I don't think I ever did figure out buffer problems. Calculus wasn't too bad as long as I did the homework and studied. math has always come easy for me though. I kind of liked physics in high school. it was very interesting to me, but I never got to physics in college. After freshman year I switched majors from Mechanical Engineering (After getting a D in the second semester of chemistry) and wound up getting a BBA. Before college, I had never gotten a C on a report card or progress report. All A's and B's including the AP classes. College was a real eye opener to say the least. i wound up graduating with a 3.3 something (I think it was either 3.33 or 3.35) though. in my experiences though, in the business world, anything 2.5 or above is acceptable. It is actually a proven fact that most millionaires were "c" students anyway.
Same here man. I hated Chem but I had the most fun in that class. The teacher was actually pretty nice because she didn't really care what we did after the lecture was over. Didn't do most of my hw first term so only got a B but managed an A second term. Only got a 3 on the AP test so I had to retake it for college. Good thing I only needed one chem class because I barely managed a B. The organic chem and 3d bond models owned me. College was so much more different than HS for me too. UCLA kicked my butt first quarter. I'm great in math but using my AP credits to skip calc 1 and 2 to take calc 3 was a big mistake. The questions on exams were completely different from HS and AP tests. All word problems and dealt more with the concept than working out the problem. I've kind of gotten use to the idea that a C is enough for engineers and hopefully that holds true when I start applying for interships next year.
