Mit's just the audio from a dvd. I know my parent's new TL has something called DVD audio and it sounds really sharp. Just a guess, but maybe that is the format for those dvd cds?

mp4 is a video format lol, aka mpeg4 which microsoft has a few codecs for. dvd audio dvd's are still a raw format. Obviously with 4.7 gigs of space you dont need compression on audio. Otherwise just regular movie dvds are like.... ac3 or regular stereo for audio.

I was mentioning mp4 as and audio format because there was a codec roaming around 3 years back to "improve" on the mp3 format which..... well..... it really didnt improve it that much.
