Default WHY BUY AN ACCORD

I have had two Accords. Loved both. Leased both and later purchased both at end of lease. That was about 15 years ago. Now
want to buy my daughter (16) a used Honda...But.....the cost is so high for a car with 100,000 miles.
I can buy a brand new Chevy, Ford, etc for the cost of a Honda with 100,000 miles. I know the quality of a Honda is better (But I do have a Tahoe with 150k with zero problems)
but we are talking numbers here. I do not really want to pay 12k for a car with 90k/100k miles of wear and tear when I can buy a brand new auto and I am sure of the history. Talk me into it.

I don't blame you one bit. I would consider a new domestic myself in your circumstances.

Blacklist.......I did not say I wanted to buy a Chevy.....I just wanted some input to justify buying new at 12K vs. buying used (100k miles) at the same sales price. Obviously I am interested enough in a Honda or I would not waste time on a Honda Board. Just looking for some rational information.

Thanks all.

Hey All,
I'm new but here's my .02 anyway
Me...I just bought a '99 Accord LX coupe, 4cyl, 112K mi., but mint condition.
It was $7750. Plus tax and so on. From a local dealer I trust.
I don't where you are paying $12K, but it's way too much.
You could also watch E-bay to see what they are going for.
Good Luck...oh and what's better? used quality or new crap?
I say used quality is a better investment than buying new crap.
If you want any of the car dealer info, give a yell.
I'm in Binghamton, NY.
