how is the tranny?
Six months after buying it, the check engine light came on... Of course, it was the transmission. Luckly it was under recall (or warranty, I can't recall) but I dropped a whole new tranny in. It's been running fine ever since.

I’m aware of the reputation of the transmission going out in these models. Roughly 6 months after I purchased the car from a dealership, I had to completely replace the transmission. That was over 10,000 miles ago, and it’s ran like a champ since. I have never had to majorly service the car. Just routine oil changes and tune ups. It has less that 100,000 miles on it which means, it being a Honda and all, it has plenty more life left. My friend’s dad has a ‘98 Accord V6 with 312,000 some miles on it and he drives it to work every day. So one could easily put that much and more on this car. The engine is a VTEC. A Honda-made motor with Variable Valve Timing. Giving the car great pull throughout the entire RPM range.
NOTE: The Panasonic head-unit IS NOT INCLUDED! The stock stereo head-unit will be installed before the sale.
The only thing that I’ve modified on the car is the intake. I installed a short ram cold air intake a few weeks ago. It makes a considerable difference. It adds 9-10hp and increases gas mileage and throttle response. But what really stands out is the smooth, low sound it gives the engine. (stock intake system IS INCLUDED with purchase of vehicle.)
There is a scratch on the front-right fender. It was there when I purchased the car and I never got around to fixing it.
This is the first time I have ever privately sold a car, so bare with me. Please let me know if there’s anything I might have missed.
I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you might have. My Email address is: drdeat155@yahoo.com
Thanks…
