Default Looking for a Mig Welder

Hello everyone,
I'm in the market to purchase my first Mig welder. I need it to do a few repairs on my car and a few other things as well, nothing to big. Just seeing if anyone has any suggestions to companies who I can look into.
Thanks in advance.

Millermatic is the top of the line of course, but very spendy. You can find lots of good deals used on craigslist buying one that someone needed for one project and is now selling it.

The 110v welders are only good for sheetmetal and exhaust if you aren't well trained. If you have 220V available then you can get a "real" welder that will let you go much thicker.

On the budget end is harbor freight. Not great, and it won't last, but hey, it's a welder...

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up doing more and more research on MIG welders and I went ahead and purchased a Longevity Migweld 140 cause it has a good warranty, the customer service was awesome and I was able to get alot of info from the longevity forum at wwwfreeweldingforumcom I checked out the harbor freight machine. Good looking machine but i got a 5 year warranty with Longevity Migweld 140.
