Default My HIDs and custom housing (LOTS OF PICS)

so it took me a long while to finally get the housing just the way i wanted it. Origonally (Spelling?) i wanted all black housing, but i decide to go with a metal flake paint because its close to the color of my car. I also painted the little metal cap inside the housing red. Its way bitchin. And those are 8000K HIDs in there. Also i tried to destroy the old projectors because i wanted to get to the clear reflector. So my friend said "lets dremmel it out" Sounds like a good idea right? Nope, the plastic is about 1/4 of an inch thick and it kept gumming up his titanium blade (or whatever it was). so after 20 minutes of dremeling, we decided the next best idea is brute force. We tried a torque wrentch as long as my leg, a hammer, smashing it on the concrete. I had the brite idea that if we break the surface tension with a drill then when we smash it where the hole is the plastic should shatter. In theory it sounded good to me. No dice, the plastic still heald strong. We werent taking pansie swings either, these were cave man swings. long story short, theprojectors won.

While on this topic id like to ask, is there a highbeam that matches the color of the HIDs? because when i have the highbeams on (which isnt often at all) it looks terrible because the colors dont match.

The reason why i did the red cap was because they already have the same thing on ebay, where they paint the housing black, so i wanted to set mine apart from the ebay one. and i think its pretty sweet

I know it took me forever to finish this project. Mainly cause when i come home from work i really dont feel like doing anything. The red cap doenst make the light red, it does look red when the lights are off and its daylight. but it doesnt affect/effect the color of the light when its on. And i totally forgot about baking the light, i figured that the plastic would just shatter after i hit it for the first time.

My next project, other than the stereo system which is almost together, is the engine covers, there just sitting there mocking me cause i havent finished them
