Advice for making my Accord more comfortable Ride
Hi,
I have a 2007 Accord SE (V6), everything is stock and around 50,000 miles. Ever since I bought the car new, it has had an extremely stiff ride, bad enough to say that this car is the worst riding vehicle I have ever owned and I have a 79 MGB as my first car. So if a MGB has a better ride than my new accord then its pretty bad. The question is does anyone have any experience with after market struts, springs etc. for giving the car a smoother ride?? I know the Accords were not meant to be a Caddy but really I can feel every bump in the road.
Thanks

I doubt you'd find anything in the aftermarket to make it softer... it's all performance oriented.
You can always try a tire with a lower weight rating, meaning softer, more absorbent sidewalls. Did you buy it used? Are you 100% sure it has a stock suspension? Stock stuff is all flat black in color...
My grandparents are old and own the same generation Accord and I haven't heard them complain that the ride was too stiff...

What wheels & tires? If you have 16" or larger, you could swap to 15" wheels with 205/65 R15 tires. That's the base size on the Accord LX (at least it is for 2003).

2009 Accord ex-l
The ride SUCKS. Bought 4 Goodyear tires-forgot exactly which ones, but purchased the ones with the best ride quality. It did improve a little, but it still sucks. I'm sorry I bought this car. Someone stated it rides like a truck-well my 1998 F150 with 130,000 miles rides MUCH BETTER. This car rides like a bicycle with solid rubber tires.

Just bought 2013 Accord Touring model (last week). Rides worse than my 2005 truck. For $32K+, the ride should be smooth. I test drove it but apparently not on the correct roads. Very sorry I bought this car. Will try to get rid of it as soon as I can figure out how "not" to lose too much $$.

Vlsage, I'd really like to suggest you don't use an email address as your username. It's a SPAM magnet for the whole site.
Since it's your first post, probably the easiest way is to create a NEW user account then contact WheelBrokerAng (admin) to delete your old account. (as a mod, the only way I can delete you is to BAN you and that's not right either)
