Default cant lower this accord...

i got a 1991 honda accord lx and i wanna lower it with lowering springs, but near each of the four tires(above them), there's this bar thing that goes from behind the wheel to the top, i guess it holds up the car or something
if i were to lower my car, the tires will hit those things, but ive seen other accords that have been lowered and the bar thing has been removed or something
anyone know what that bar thing is for? and does the shop remove it for me when i go get it lowered?

thanks...

No man, you can lower your car with no problems. That's a control arm for your suspension. It moves when the tire moves and will never hit your tire if you lower it. I'm sure those other accords have that arm, you just can't see it once the car is lowered. no worries, lower away!
