05 Honda Accord Sedan with curved dual exhaust n I cant customize the pipes
Is there any thing I can do in order to be able to install custom exhaust tips that are straight and more clean?
I went to a local exhaust shop yesterday and the owner said that he couldnt work on pipes built like that.... I'll try to find another place to help me this week. It just sucks because I have had no luck thus far.
can you take a pic of what your talking about? I might be a bit confused on why they can’t work on your exhaust without a visual of what your talking about...I mean anything can be done. just depend on who is doing the work I guess.
Are you talking about the very end of the tailpipe? Some cars have em curved downwards, and there's no cut-out in the rear bumper. Like they're pretending to hide the fact that there's any kind of exhaust pipe at all.
Sometimes the pipes have chrome finished ends and they are visible from behind the car. Just a styling choice I guess.
My Saabs have invisible exhaust. If you get a sport exhaust (or aftermarket) you interchange the bumper skin for one with a cut-out so there's a place for the tailpipe to stick out. (Of if you're cheap you use a utility knife & get some moulding to put around the opening.)

my 05 does the same thing. at the end the exhaust tips curve down, I think its like that to hide the mufflers cus from the back you can only see the two exhaust tips sticking out. JimBlake is right you will need to get a new bumper or do the poor ppls way if you want to have straight tips.
