It doesn't matter what kind of car he has, coilovers only install one way. Durr..
Just because I want to add information for someone who may be reading this thread in the future. Your shocks/struts can only go in one way, HOWEVER you can reverse the springs (front springs on rear, rear springs on front) and it will change the ride of your car dramatically (in a bad way) not to mention the way it sits... The best way to find out if you've done this is to call the manufacturer with your part numbers and ask them if you have the right springs in the right places.

While thats all said and true for springs. It's not for coilovers as they come pre assembled. Most manf label their springs front and rear when packaged as well, most well known brands do atleast.

Even if you do reverse the springs, it will be obvious when you put the car back on the ground. Then, just switch em out. You guys really make things harder than they need to be.

You are correct, MOST coilovers do come pre-assembled but not all of them. H&R does not and since quite a few people who are installing coilovers for the first time don't know how the car is supposed to sit it wouldn't be an obvious issue. I just mentioned it for future readers. But yes you are correct, on average common sense is enough to figure out what is wrong.
