I finally found out that my intermittent clunking noise on my 2004 Honda Accord LX is because of very worn out compliance bushings in the lower control arms.
My mechanic suggested using duralast ($150 each) vs. OEM $250 online).
I called seven Autozones and asked them to check the box to see where the part came from. Of those seven, 2 came from China, 4 from Turkey and one from Taiwan. Form something like this, I'm not thrilled about using Turkey or China. Not sure about Tawian's reputation.
Does anyone know where OEM for Honda comes from?

For anyone wanting to see what the old and new look like (and how worn out my main bushing was), take a look at the pic below. As you can see, the old one was practically sitting on the lower metal plate, while the new one is squarely sitting between the plates, hence the clunking noise. Be aware that the origin of the sound may throw you off. I thought the sound was coming from the rear passenger side but it turns out it was from the front passenger (or driver, as both of the old control arms looked like the one pictured):
