Lube the inner race on the spindle
But the key things is stick the new ball joint in the freezer until it is ice cold. It literally slides in with finger pressure and then expands in the spindle as it heats up, locking it in place.

Now that's a good idea..there's also a product that you can buy at your local parts store called Freeze Up..about $8.00 bucks a can..you can use it under the car if you don't have a Freezer Close By...

This should come in handy! I'm actually planning to do mine sometime mid-late this month. Are you sure freezing the piece and bringing it back to temperature so abruptly won't affect its integrity?
