Help lowering 08 4-door EX-L
Hello guys. I am new to this website and pretty much new to doing any type of mods to my cars. For this first time in my life I actually have money to spend on my car. I have a 2008 4-door EX-L V6 and am interested in getting it lowered. Nothing too crazy maybe 1-2 inches. I would like to know what is the best way to go about doing this. What would I need to purchase? Springs and shocks? Would I need to change my tires/wheels so they don't rub when I turn? Also, how much would you recommend lowering it if I install a lip kit. I want it to look tasteful, not tacky. Thank you!

A couple of questions before I give out suggestions.....
When you lower the car, do you want to focus on comfort or performance?
Or a compromise of both?
What is your realistic budget? (don't expect to spend less than $500)
And what lip kit were you thinking of? (OEM? the size of the lip kit depends on how much you may want to lower the car)
Let me know what your responses are to these questions, and I'll suggest some setups.

These Tanabe springs would be good. They don't slam the car but give it a 1.5in drop all around with a decent ride. How much are you planning to spend? If you're looking for more adjustability, look into coilovers.

Hi,
I have the same year, make and model vehicle as you. I swapped out the stock suspension for:
Koni 8041 1406 Sports
Eibach 4082.140 Springs
The springs took the car down about an inch. It drives MUCH better now. Though at times the undercarriage splash guard rubs against the street when I go over speed bumps. I want to go up +1 on wheels and tires next.
