Default New shocks and tires

I own a 1998 accord lx 4 cylinder with 5-speed manual and 90K miles.

I plan on replacing my stock shocks and possibly the springs. I don’t want an obvious lowering of my ride height, so I’m not sure that any of the coil-over options make sense for me. I’m looking for slightly firmer handling, but not too harsh. I plan on running stock size tires (15 inch), but may buy a new set of 16-inch wheels if they look stock. I don’t want my car to stand out as aftermarket; however I still want a modest performance upgrade over stock.
Any suggestions out there?

keep an eye out on the board for 16"s...every month or so someone seems to sell a stock set for about 400 or so with tread...they may fit, and will definitely look stock.

Hi new member and welcome to the forum! =)

I'm really not sure what kind of shock you can get any performance shocks i heard h&r have the OE shocks that lower a little bit but do give you better handling. sometimes you can find acura parts that are higher performance that will fit your car just a alittle searching

Eibach Pro-Kit springs will only lower you are 1 - 1.2" (which looks best IMO), and KYB GR-2 shocks should do fine. I believe the KYB GR-2's are meant to be an OE replacement, but they are beefier, which would work well with the Eibach's since they were designed for the stock shocks. As for a performane increase, I think the 16" wheels will have too much tire roll for what you are looking for, but if you come across a set of 16" wheels without tires on them try and buy some tires with a stiffer sidewall (more nylon bands).
