17-inch 2004 Acura TL rims on 2005 Honda Accord
Hello,
I've recently replaced my stock 15 inch steel rims on my 2-door 2005 Honda Accord Coupe with 17 inch Acura TL (2004) ones. The ride is as smooth as it could be, however when I make a sharp right or a sharp left, a non-continuous scraping noise is coming from either of my front wheels. When I make a right, the noise is coming from my left front wheel, when i make a left the noise is coming from my right wheel.
My first instinct was to check to see if the wheel was touching the inside of the fender, but that is not the case. Does anybody know what could cause the noise?
Here are my new wheel specs:
17 X 8" 5 x 114.3 Offset: 45 mm
V6 honda accord models from the same year feature the following rims:
17"x 6.5". 5 x 114.3 Offset: 42mm
Thank you,
S.

215-50-R17 - just the same as on the V6 Accord. This is probably the thinnest tire i can put on this rim. Original TL tires were 235-45-R17.
