Guys,

Great to find this forum... so I registered and look forward to being a part of the group. All Hondas in our family, and my lovely wife's ride needed some new wheels.

I bought a set of 16", 7.5 wheels from Tirerack that I determined should fit and she loves them . She saw them in the box .

OE are aluminum 16" and we want to put the 205 16 kumhos on them for the summer months. We decided the Blizzaks will stay on the OE wheels so we don't mess them up any more than they are.

I go to my Honda dealer this a.m and the service crew says the wheels won't fit the Kumhos. Me not being an expert, I call Tirerack and they said the wheels and tires are just fine and should fit OK.

Tell me..... will these be OK as Tirerack recommends ? I 'll be going to a private tire shop this time.

Looks like 7.5-inch wide rims is at the wide end of the "acceptable" range by tirerack.com so maybe the other place is a bit conservative. But "205 16" isn't a complete tire size. Are they 205/45-16 or 205/55-16 or what?

One thing is the bulging sidewall might not protect the face of the rim from scratches, if for example you lay the rims face-down on the garage floor.
