Default alternative to chrome rims?

I saw a nice looking Lexus sometime last weekend when I was parked at our local Walgreens. It was sitting on what looked like 19's in the front and 18's in the rear, not too sure why you would want something bigger up front?

Anyway, the rims weren't anything bling bling... so I can pretty safely assume they weren't chrome. I'm wondering what you guys might think these rims were made of and more importantly where I might be able to start looking. When I was planning on modding my Monte Carlo I heard about a new type of rim that looked like chrome but wasn't as heavy... I just can't recall the material?

Anyway, if anyone has any experience with Lexus' or just wheels and tires in general maybe you can throw some ideas out there. Thanks!

Joseph

p.s. I hope my question wasn't too vague?
