Curb rash on the rims
Anyone been successful in repairing curb rash on their 18' OEM Wheels? One of mine has it pretty bad unfortunately and I wanted to see if there is a DIY repair option or if I should just bite the bullet and buy an after market replacement.
There is a wheel repair place near by to me but their rates seem a bit high @ $159 for a full refinish and $99 for 'spot' repair.

Are they shiny metal with clearcoat? Or painted?
I've had some luck with painted ones, but even my favorite body shop doesn't like repairing the metal-&-clearcoat ones. The clear coat continues peeling into the undamaged section of wheel (my experience from a 1998 Accord).
