Default Need new rim/wheel advice 18"-20"?

I've done a search, read a lot of posts, read varying opinions. I have a 2013 Accord Coupe, Black EX. I've always modified my cars and motorcycles, Jeeps, Harleys. Anyways, I want to get new tires and rims for my Accord. It's my daily driver. I want to get a nice rim for appearance, better tires for rain/snow weather here in Chicago. Is a 20" rim too big? Is 18" rim with better tires a better, smarter option? I've read 19" rims have odd ball size tires to boot and cost more. Looking for a black/machined type rim. I want a bigger rim to fill that wheel well, don't want a crappy ride (roads suck here), and don't think I will go to the extent of lowering my car. Please give me some guidance. I don't want to buy 18s and then 6 months later be like I should have gone bigger. Did that with my Jeep, got 33s and should have gotten 35-37s. That's a story for another day! Thanks in advance for the advice. I've been lurking for awhile now...

Talking Hello Da Bears..

Ditka would tell you too go with 18" package..looks good , cost less, gives you much less problems in the short and the long run..

Ditka would also tell you 19" and 20" wheels will hurt performance, and given form follows function, that dictates 18" wheels.

If ride comfort is a concern, then don't get bigger than 18. Looks cool yeah but less sidewall = stiffer ride.

Here's what I just did to my 12 sedan

18's would be the safest and best looking wheels size for your ride. Not that expensive and easier to maintain.

I drive Illinois roads all the time. I'm occasionally terrified my 16" snow rims might get bent on them. 18" rims will be more than sufficient.
