You can either plug it yourself with a plugging kit from WalMart or an auto parts store, or you can take it to a tire shop and have them patch it for cheap.

Patches work better than plugs. With plugs theres usually always a really really slow leak. It wont be really irritating but it would just be better to get a patch for cheap @ a tire shop.

Not if you plug it right the first time. Just get a set of needle-nosed pliers or vise-grips and pull the nail out. The with the plug kit, insert the rod thingythat makes the hole big enough for the plug to go in, pull it out and put in the plug. Make sure your tires is fully inflated or even overinflated before starting because it will be 10x easier to do...

I plugged one of mine a few months ago and the tire isn't leaking at all. Of course, that is cause I did it right haha. You probably won't get it right on the first try, but you can just re-plug it or shove another plug in the same hole if it is still leaking.
I haven't had a tire patched at a tire shop in many years, however I know I had them patched at a tire shop where I bought my tires and they did it for free. If I were you, I would call the tire dealer where I bought the tire and ask them how much for a patch. Tell them you bought your tires there and you got a nail in two of them.

I've never had any problems plugging tires. In addition to what is recommended, I paint the hole with rubber cement after reaming it before I put the plug in. After the plug is in, I paint the whole thing with more rubber cement. Clip off anything that protrudes past the tread.

Yeah I use a bunch of rubber cement too. It comes with the walmart kit. It gets kind of messy and sometimes it is a PITA to clip off the excess, but it works very well.
