Default Tires recommendation

I have an honda accord 1999 lx usa model automatic transmision, 2.3 vtec and i like driving fast at curves so i am thinking to change the existing normal tires with other bigger tires. Whats the biggest tire size supported by this version of honda. I dont like drifting but just driving normally and fast. I wanna wide tires so they dont skate at curves. Thnx.

Get some winter tires, the softer compound the tires are made of will give you better traction. . . . .

Funny one, John. Still, we should probabaly give him a serious answer too.

I'll move this to the TIRES forum where it belongs. Seems like I've seen threads about putting 18" or 19" on these cars. But the best cornering doesn't come from the biggest wheel. There's lots more to it, including suspension modifications.

Exclamation

That's right Jim...suspension is primo for the handling, then comes the right choice of tires and the rims..

Default my opinion

In my opinion getting a really sticky summer tire is the best. if you are on a tight budget, toyos can be good. If you want THE best, get michelin pilot sport ps2's. But its all up to you.
And yep Ang you are right. W/out a good suspension the tires won't even stay on the ground.
