hey i have a stock cat in between my header and magnaflow exhaust both of the pipings sizes are 2.25" and i was wondering if there are any good racing cats or straight pipes i can buy to put on there. i dont need to worry about emissions cuz my state got rid of them. also ive had friends tell me that i can take a broom handle and knock all the stuff to the side in there and it would work is that true????

i prefer a jack handle... but yeah you could do that. just dont punch a hole the the skin or youll be down at the muffler shop. good luck.

eBay has "catalyic convertors" for around $30 which are really just straight pipes. Just find one for your car that matches up. And muffler shops wont let you leave unless you have a real cat convertor...so you will have to do it yourself.

Euther that or you can buy a "High-flow catalytic". Which will allow the gases to leave faster....well, i guess you could just put a piece of pipe anyways....

i would go with a magnaflow high flow cat. theyre cheap, flow really well, and do as good a job as the oem cat for emissions. a straight pipe or "test" pipe is gonna make your exhaust a lot louder. check magnaflow.com or type in "magnaflow high flow" in ebay.
