Honda dealer gave me part numbers of a deck lid spoiler and springs for 09 Accord Coupe. I got them from an online Honda parts store, but my local Honda dealer won't install them. They said the deck lid spoiler was made for the 09 Accord Coupe EX-L V6...I have the 09 Accord Coupe EX-L 4-cyl. They don't have the template and are afraid to drill. They look like they fit. Any difference between Coupe V6 and 4-cyl when it comes to deck lid spoiler installation? Is the trunk different? Anyway I can install what I have now? The Honda wants me to purchase the wing spoiler instead. However, I like the deck lid spoiler on the coupe. Please help.

 

I see nobody has responded so I'll TRY (not an expert.) I do not believe there is a difference in the lid. I have the EXL and I (believe) the only difference is that I have a trunk liner (the black "carpet type" material on the inside of the trunk.) Do you have this in yours? The dealer probably won't install because you did not purchase there. Try any body shop/garage/speed shop you may have near you. Also try calling/emailing where you bought the item and ask them about the fit.
