Default 1997 Accord Paint or ?

I have a 1997 Honda Accord. It sat outside under a tarp for 6 months. I decided to have the transmission replaced and get it on the road again. The paint on the top and top of the trunk lid may have been rubbed by the tarp on windy days. Do I need to have a new paint job or is this something that can be rubbed out with the proper product? The car is green but the areas in qustion are a white color, lmost looks like it is into the paint. Pictures attached. Honda Paint_0001.wmv - YouTube

It looks like it was rubbed pretty badly, there aren't any products that are going to fix that. There are great cheap roll-on paint jobs you can do yourself for under $200, I can give you links when I get off work.

Default Thanks

I will be looking for the $200 paint job information! My Honda has 234,568 miles on it. I think I can get another 50,000 out of her, but would like to make her look pretty again, for a small investment. Thanks

Hey I hope you're still around, I totally spaced on this thread. The $50 paint job (probably actually around $75-100, maybe $150 if you don't have any of the parts already, but still very cheap) can be found here moparts: paint job on a budget!? the guy's instructions are about a quarter way down the page, he's got an orange Charger he painted for $50. The paint he used is called Rustoleum in the USA. Home Depot no longer mixes it in colors around where I live, but places like Miller Paint and other paint stores do, so you can color match your car or even go for a non-factory paint job that will turn heads! I'm personally considering going purple once I get the crease pulled out of my rear panel. I'll also email this to you if you have your email listed, hopefully you see it! Sorry for the long wait
