Default 99 Accord - driver-side mirror hit

It looks like someone clipped my driver-side mirror overnight flipping it forward. It didn't crack the plastic or the mirror itself, but seems to have been hit hard enough that the indents that lock it forward, backward, or in the normal position no longer grab or hold it in place.

Is this fixable or is the only practical solution to just replace the mirror ? It actually appears that I can get a replacement mirror for under $30 off of eBay.

It might be repairable, but most likely parts are broken inside the mirror. To repair, you have to remove the mirror (easy job), only to find you can't repair.

As you found, a replacement is inexpensive. It's an easy installation.

good luck
