Front Door Panels- Need Help**

Default Front Door Panels- Need Help**

I am trying to take off my front door panels on a 92. I've almost got it but i dont want to break the door handle coverand can't figure out how to get it off without doing so. im doing this in order to put in new speakers. thanks

There should be a single screw that has a cover over it. Pop the cover and take the screw out. Then, the handle should slide to a side and come right out (there are ~3 hooks on the back of the handle). Next take a flat screwdriver or your finger and unsnap the plastic thing that holds the rod in the handle et voila, you should be home free!

Hope this helps.

Remove the mirror mount cover, power mirror, manual mirror. Take care not to scratch the door panel. [*]If applicable, remove the regulator handle (A) by pulling the clip (B) out with a wire hook (C). [/ol] [*]Remove the inner handle (A). Take care not to scratch the door panel.[*]Pry out the cap (B), and remove the screw.[*]Pull the inner handle forward and out half-way.[*]Disconnect the inner handle rod (C) and power door lock switch connector (D) (for some models). [/ul] [/ol] [*]Power window models: Remove the pull pocket panel (A). Take care not to scratch the door panel.[*]Pry out the cap (B), and remove the screw.[*]Release the hooks (C), disconnect the power window switch connector (D), and the power mirror switch connector (E), driver's side only. [/ul] [/ol] [*]Manual window model: Remove the pull pocket (A). Take care not to scratch the door panel.[*]Pry out the cap (B), and remove the screw.[*]Lift out the pull pocket. [/ul] [/ol]
