Hi i just upgraded my stock headlights to projection ones and i had HID lights in my old headlights. I now have to get different size bulbs for the new projection kind.

Does anyone know if HID are Illegal or not??? I have heard all kinds of stories that go both ways. If anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks!

And your going to get all kinds of stories from all kinds of members.
To stay with-in the Law...You call the LAW, and most likely the Sheriff's or State Police barracks who will tell you the law's on those headlights...

From what I know, they are technically illegal if they are not from the factory. Does that mean you will ever get in trouble for them? Probably not. Most cops don't know the difference. Although I have heard of some areas where they are really strict about it.
